Course description

Don't you have a story or a message inside of you that you want to share with the world? Don't you want to self-publish and run your publishing business right? The Ground Zero Self-Published Author course shares with you every single step it takes to self-publish your book (and others'), along with exactly how much money it’s going to cost you . . . from start to finish.

You will learn:

  • Every single step it takes to self-publish a book (so that you don't miss a beat)
  • The price range each and every step is going to cost (so that you'll know how to budget)
  • The time and effort it takes to self-publish (determine if you have the dedication it takes)

  • We leave no page (or stone) un-turned. As minor as it may sound, we make sure you have in your budget everything from the ISBN, bar-code, editor, to a pack of pencils and paper. That's right; when you complete this course you will know how much money it will take to invest in the process of self-publishing. Not only that, but you will know every single step you must take in order to achieve your goal of self-publishing your book the right way.

There are many self-published books on the market, but not all of them were self-published right. Those are the ones that retailers can’t even place on their shelves for the consumer to consume. You don’t want that to be you. We at Path To Publishing don’t want that to be you either, which is why we created The Ground Zero Self-Published Author course. Make sure your product is bookshelf ready and can stand up against any traditionally published book.

After completing the course you will be able to:

  • Self-publish a book (the right way)
  • Become a published author (and possibly now be considered an expert in certain areas)
  • BECOME A PUBLISHER (build a publishing business/small press)

  • Not only will you be able to self-publish your own books, but you will be equipped with the information to publish the works of other authors. So if building a literary empire or a small press is your mission, this course is a must.

As a bonus, you will learn why to self-publish and what to self-publish. Books, be it fiction or non-fiction, are not the only things generating income in the publishing arena. In addition, in this course we will share what almost no other course, if any at all, teaches; why NOT to self-publish.

Whether it's a full-length novel or a low content journal, this course is a must have if you do not want to waste your time and money, and if you want to avoid the stress of research and the risk of guessing.

If you have read books on self-publishing, taken webinars, other courses, or even had a few sessions with a literary consultant or coach, Path To Publishing can guarantee that all of the information we have packed into this course, you have not received from a single book, workshop, webinar, course or individual.

What is taught in this course, the instructor had to learn in seventeen years of being in the literary industry. She had to spend thousands of dollars (with plenty wasted) and invest thousands of hours of research. You get it all for thousands of dollars less and in less than two hours! It would take the average self-published author over a year of research just to learn the basics. Even then they will not have obtained every step that is included in this course.

Who is the Ground Zero Self-Published Author course for? YOU; that person who has a story, message, idea and instruction to get out. That person who wants to extend their reach beyond speaking engagements, workshops, and coaching. Even if you've already self-published a book, I can assure you that you will come across a step or two that you missed. Would you truly have peace of mind knowing that you have a product out there that could be better?

The Ground Zero Self-Published Author course teaches you everything you can think of about the self-publishing process . . . or didn't think of.

    Literary Consultant & Course Instructor

Joylynn M. Ross has experience in the literary industry as a self-published author, traditionally published author, editor (both freelance and with major publishing houses), ghostwriter (both freelance and with major publishing houses), literary consultant, and a literary agent with clients who have book deals with Random House, Simon and Schuster, and Urban Books.

She has been doing one-on-one literary consulting for over five years. Not only has she self-published her own books, but she has assisted countless authors in building their literary empire. Past clients include new authors, vet authors, New York Times and National Best-selling authors, as well as entertainers.

With over seventeen years of experience in the literary industry, Joylynn has seen almost every mistake made that an author could possibly make. As a matter of fact, she made most of them herself. Joylynn found it satisfying that she was able to assist others in avoiding the potholes that could leave them stuck and broken down on the side of the road during their literary journey. But as she continued to read so many dispiriting testimonies from authors on social media, and see for herself the mistakes authors were still out there making, she knew she had to figure out a way to extend her reach. She now does so by teaching online courses for Path To Publishing.

She is an Essence Magazine Bestselling Author who writes Christian fiction under the name E. N. Joy. She wrote secular books under the names Joylynn M. Jossel and JOY. Her title, If I Ruled the World, earned her a book blurb from Grammy Award Winning Artist, Erykah Badu. An All Night Man, an anthology she penned with New York Times Bestselling Author Brenda Jackson, earned the Borders bestselling African American Romance Award. Her Urban Fiction title, Dollar Bill (Triple Crown Publications), appeared in Newsweek and has been translated to Japanese.

This award winning author has been sharing her literary expertise on conference panels in her home town of Columbus, Ohio as well as cities across the country. She also conducts publishing/writing workshops for aspiring writers and vet authors alike.

Her children’s book titled The Secret Olivia Told Me, written under the name N. Joy, received a Coretta Scott King Honor from the American Library Association. The book was also acquired by Scholastic Books and has sold almost 100,000 copies. Elementary and middle school children have fallen in love with reading and creative writing as a result of the readings and workshops Joylynn instructs in schools nationwide.
